Duke Ellington Jazz Fest June 5-15
It will come as no surprise to residents of the Meridian Hill Park neighborhood that much of the Duke Ellington Jazz Fest will take place on the U Street corridor - bordering the south of MHNA's boundaries and a few blocks east - June 5-15, 2009. For performance times and locations click here.

Next Meeting: May 19, 2009
The next meeting of the Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2009.
On the agenda are the recent spate of violence and nuisance behavior at 14th & W Streets, NW, and mitigative measures in planning or underway such as increased police presence, nighttime lighting, security cameras and restrictions on liquor sales. We also plan to discuss the usual topics such as membership development and vacant and abandoned properties.
The meeting location is the basement of Gingras Ecumenical Center, 1419 V Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009.
We begin at 7:00pm and end promptly at 8:30pm.
