February 21, 2012 MHNA Meeting Agenda

Join us for the first MHNA meeting of 2012, in the Greater Washington Sports Alliance, on the first floor of the Solea Building, 2300 14th Street, NW.  The entrance is on the corner of Florida Avenue and 14th Street.

(2) Metropolitan Police Department realignment of Police Service Areas (PSAs); issues at 14th & W Streets, NW; speakers: Third District Commander Jacob Kishter; Manuel Oliveira, Fast Gourmet.
(3) Planned new construction at 1421 Florida Avenue; speaker: Hari Sequar, developer
(4) Smucker Farms of Lancaster County, 2118 14th Street NW (new store selling locally-grown and -produced groceries and offering community-supported agriculture program); speaker: Eric Smucker
(5) Miscellaneous: Pride Parade, movie night, your ideas

Membership in MHNA is open to anyone who lives within its boundaries. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month and are free and open to the public.

The Mayor's Youth Town Hall, Saturday, February 18, 2012

Click on image to enlargeOn Saturday, February 18, 2012, the government of the District of Columbia Executive Ofice of the Mayor will host a Youth Town Hall, at the Columbia Heights Community Center, 1480 Girard Street, NW, from 12:30 until 2:30pm.

Participating youth will receive community service hours.

New Year - New MHNA Meeting Location!

MHNA is pleased to announce a new meeting location for 2012: the glass-enclosed boardroom of the Greater Washington Sports Alliance at 2300 14th Street, NW (the Solea).  Our first meeting there will be on Feb. 21, 7-8:30pm. The entrance is on the northwest corner of 14th Street and Florida Avenue.  Thank you to the folks at the Greater Washington Sports Alliance for the generous use of their space!
